The problem
At ThoughtLeaders, I spearheaded a project to improve platform stickiness. Initially, the platform provided single-page reports, which users primarily utilized as a lead generation tool. User research revealed that after exporting lead lists, users shifted to tools like Google Sheets for further workflow management, resulting in infrequent platform use.
The solution
To address this, I proposed transforming the platform into a comprehensive workflow tool. The solution involved developing a custom, multi-stage shortlist workflow system with collaborative features, enabling users to manage their entire A-Z process within the platform, eliminating reliance on external tools.
The results
The implementation was highly successful. The new workflow tool was intuitive and could be demonstrated quickly, allowing the sales team to showcase custom workflows during calls. Post-launch, platform stickiness significantly increased, transforming ThoughtLeaders from a lead generation source into an essential work tool for users.
